James Gunn is changing the way fans look at a post-credits scene! The Superman director reveals how the DC Universe will approach this superhero staple.

He says that a post-credits scene shouldn’t make promises to fans unless it “really, really works,” suggesting that Superman likely won’t be delivering much in the way of future teases for the franchise. Given how many checks the MCU has failed to cash, especially in recent years, it makes sense that James Gunn would be adverse to having Superman set up a post-credits scene about a future for the DC Universe that may never come to pass. However, given Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has already wrapped filming, it’s possible that this is one of the few times the director plans to properly tease a future project in the DC Universe.
