‘Suffs’ Creator Shaina Taub Receives ASCAP Foundation Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award
Shaina Taub, Tony-winning creator of the Broadway musical 'Suffs,' has received the ASCAP Foundation Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award.
Composer, lyricist, librettist and performer Shaina Taub, creator and star of the Broadway musical Suffs, has received The ASCAP Foundation Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award. “Shaina Taub’s groundbreaking work on Suffs as a composer, performer and multi-hyphenate creator has inspired many, leading to two Tony Awards and an incredibly successful Broadway debut,” ASCAP Foundation executive director Nicole George-Middleton said in a statement. Previous recipients include Lin-Manuel Miranda( In the Heights), Pasek & Paul ( Dear Evan Hansen), David Hein & Irene Sankoff ( Come From Away) and Michael R. Jackson( A Strange Loop).
