On the big screen, Ortiz can most recently be seen starring in the independent feature The Long Game alongside Jay Hernandez and Dennis Quaid. The Long Game, inspired by the Humberto G. Garcia book Mustang Miracle, tells the true story of five young Mexican American caddies in 1955 who created their own golf course in the middle of the South Texas brush country and beat the odds when they win the 1957 Texas State High School Golf Championship.
