‘Starship Troopers’ VR Game Set From Sony
"Starship Troopers" virtual reality game "Starship Troopers: Continuum" is set from Sony Pictures Entertainment, the studio behind the iconic 1997 sci-fi movie.
Featuring Casper Van Dien reprising his role as Johnny Rico’ “Starship Troopers: Continuum” is set 25 years after the Battle of Klendathu in the original film. In “Continuum,” players take on the role of a PsyCommander, an “experiment” with advanced psychic powers including: control troopers, rank them up, and try to keep them alive; promote them to citizenship for big bonuses, and advance your own powers faster; and add psychic perks to build your perfect trooper. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to work with Sony Pictures again to bring the legendary ‘Starship Troopers’ franchise to VR,” XR Games founder and CEO Bobby Thandi said.
