‘Squid Game’ Crosses 4 Billion Minutes Watched for the Second Week in a Row, Tying a ‘Wednesday’ Nielsen Record

'Squid Game' is the first series to cross 4 billion minutes watched per week twice in a row since 'Wednesday.'

“ Squid Game ” reached 4.6 billion minutes watched on Netflix in Season 2’s first full week of availability, per Nielsen. Even though that’s a small drop from the 4.9 billion minutes the series achieved the week before, which included Season 2’s debut weekend, this is a massive achievement for the South Korean drama. It’s rare that any series crosses 4 billion minutes watched on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings, and “Squid Game” is the first to do so since “Wednesday” premiered in 2022.
