The Korean box office saw a tightly contested holiday frame during the May Day weekend, as local crime thriller “ Yadang: The Snitch ” fended off two major U.S. releases to remain in first place. Local genre entry “Holy Night: Demon Hunters” landed in fourth, earning $1.7 million with 250,673 admissions. Thanks to the holiday boost and strong competition between local and international titles, the top 10 films grossed more than $9.2 million combined — one of the most dynamic weekends at the Korean box office so far this year.
