The new trailer for the 20th Century Studios’ Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere biopic offers the first footage of the much anticipated film, which chronicles the making of Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska, beloved by fans for its a distinctive haunting acoustic sound that came during a pivotal point in the singer’s life. Director Scott Cooper, who wrote the script for the screen based on the book Deliver Me from Nowhere by Warren Zanes, said in a statement, “Making Springsteen was deeply moving as it allowed me to step inside the soul of an artist I’ve long admired – and to witness, up close, the vulnerability and strength behind his music. Springsteen, with the lauded Born To Run album behind him, was on the verge of true global superstardom when he wrote and recorded Nebraska.
