Alexis Bledel makes a surprise cameo in 'The Handmaid's Tale' series finale, bringing closure to Emily's journey and reuniting with Elisabeth Moss

“I am forever grateful to [executive producer] Bruce Miller for writing such truthful and resonant scenes for Emily, and to Hulu, MGM, the cast and crew for their support.” Bledel’s scene partner in the finale, lead actress Elisabeth Moss, told the outlet that once creator Bruce Miller floated the idea of bringing Emily back, she was set on making it happen. Based on Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name, The Handmaid’s Tale takes place in a dystopian future where low fertility rates have led women to be assigned to men for bearing children.
