Sebastien de Castell's 'Spellslinger' fantasy books are getting the TV treatment from 'John Wick' director Chad Stahelski's 87Eleven Entertainment.
A television adaptation of Sebastien de Castell’s “ Spellslinger ” fantasy book series is in the works from “John Wick” director Chad Stahelski ‘s 87Eleven Entertainment and Basset Hound Distribution. M. Raven Metzner, a writer-producer whose credits include “Star Trek: Discovery,” “Sleepy Hollow,” “Elektra” and “Clue,” will serve as showrunner and writer of the one-hour action-adventure series. His 87Eleven banner is currently developing the “John Wick” series “Under the High Table” for Lionsgate, as well as “Highlander” with Henry Cavill; adaptations of “Ghost of Tsushima” and “Black Samurai”; and “Rainbow Six,” based on the Tom Clancy novel, starring Michael B. Jordan.
