‘SNL’s Weekend Update Pokes Fun At Mike Myers As Elon Musk: “American Sketch Comedy Jobs Are Being Stolen By Filthy Canadians”
Tonight's Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live was filled with political zingers, with co-host Colin Jost even taking a shot at Mike Myers.
While joking about “sworn-enemy Canada,” Jost quipped, “That’s right: those syrup-guzzling, Poutine-munching, moose-humping hockey sluts have taken advantage of us far too long; even right here at SNL, American sketch comedy jobs are being stolen by filthy Canadians,” flashing an image of Myers on screen. Jost then began, “Speaking of Tesla CEO and white Kanye, Elon Musk,” pausing for the loudest cheers of the night, “wore a suit instead of a jacket and a T-shirt to this week’s Cabinet meeting after president Trump made fun of his clothing. Speaking to the reports that “the leaders of Great Britain and France have been coaching Volodymyr Zelenskyy on how to deal with president Trump,” Che said, it’s “kind of like how you need extra training to be a special ed teacher.”
