Colin Jost and Michael Che poked fun at pop culture and the news on Saturday Night Live ‘s “Weekend Update” segment, where Paramount+ was dinged, and Donald Trump continued to be a target of jokes. Jost then played a clip of Trump showcasing “a more moderate [and] unifying tone” to take on the general election. Che went onto Nikki Haley and said that the Republican presidential hopeful said she was not staying in the race to be Trump’s running mate as she had “no need to kiss the ring.” The comedian then joked, “While Tim Scott said he’ll suck the ring right off Trump’s finger.”
