On an episode hosted by Jon Hamm, the NBC sketch show introduced “The White POTUS,” featuring James Austin Johnson’s caricature of President Donald Trump numbing the pain of his own existential crisis in the wake of the economic crash not with lorazepam, but with a chicken nugget. “Can you imagine how awful it would if America lost all its money?” Melania asks over breakfast, making yet another pointed nod at Trump’s recent tariff policies (of which there were many in Saturday night’s episode). The episode’s host, Jon Hamm, is also featured as RFK, Jr., and even musical guest Lizzo jumped in for this one, playing a dissatisfied American after realizing their 401k had tanked.
