‘SNL’ Promo: Martin Short Storms Off Stage And Demands A “Better Script”
Martin Short is returning home to Studio 8H, but don't expect him to take it easy on the current 'Saturday Night Live' cast.
In the latest promo for this weekend’s episode, the 3x Golden Globe nominee had a very in-character meltdown as he criticized the script of the NBC sketch comedy show and stormed off stage, where he was joined by musical guest Hozier and cast member Kenan Thompson. “Shouldn’t someone put some decorations up?” Hozier agreed the stage looked “a little bit bare,” despite the garland and lights behind them. Short was a cast member on Season 10 of SNL from 1984 to 1985, reviving several characters he previously originated on Canada’s Second City Television, including Ed Grimley.
