‘SNL50’: Meryl Streep Joins Kate McKinnon In ‘Close Encounter’ As Pedro Pascal & Woody Harrelson Crack Up
The SNL50 Anniversary special brought back Kate McKinnon's signature alien abductee character with a special appearance by Meryl Streep as her mom.
In addition to McKinnon, also back was SNL alumna Aidy Bryant as one of two specialists interviewing a trio, including Rafferty, who all claimed that they have been abducted by aliens. This time, the other two people with alien abduction stories were played by Pedro Pascal and Woody Harrelson, with Jon Hamm as a Space Force general conducting the interview alongside Bryant. Still, they did admirably well compared to former Close Encounter co-star Ryan Gosling who completely broke character.
