‘Smile’ Sequel Adds Dylan Gelula To Cast
The forthcoming 'Smile' sequel has added Dylan Gelula to a cast also including Naomi Scott, Lukas Gage, Kyle Gallner and Rosemarie DeWitt.
One of a number of original studio horror films of late to expand into a franchise, pic tells the story of Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon), a psychiatrist who becomes increasingly convinced she is being threatened by an uncanny entity, after witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient. Most recently seen starring opposite Nicolas Cage in A24’s comedy Dream Scenario, which world premiered at TIFF, Gelula has previously taken on roles in films like the Prime video rom-com I Want You Back, Cooper Raiff’s directorial debut Shithouse, Jeff Baena’s Horse Girl starring Alison Brie, the Elisabeth Moss-led punk rocker drama Her Smell, Andrew Bujalski’s Gotham and Independent Spirit Award-nominated Support the Girls, and Max Winkler’s sex comedy Flower. Previously appearing on shows like Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Shameless and Casual, she’ll also soon be seen in the third season of the Emmy-winning Max comedy, Hacks.
