‘Sky Castle,’ Korean High Society Drama Hit, to Be Remade in Japan


‘Sky Castle,’ an iconic series about vaulting ambition among the elite of Korean society, is to be remade in Japan.

The story revolves around four ambitious women who are willing to go to extraordinary lengths to ensure that their husbands and their children achieve professional success and that they in turn live like royalty in the Sky Castle among the elite. The Japanese cast is headed by Matsushita Nao (“Gegege no Honey,” “Get Ready”), Kimura Fumino (“Seven Secretaries,” “Mother Game”),Higa Manami (“The Detective and the Prosecutor”) and Takahashi Merijun. Starting with the remake of ‘Sky Castle’ drama series, we will continue to plan, develop, and produce other works that are competitive in the global market,” said Park Jun-seo, CEO of SLL’s production division.
