‘Silk: Spider Society’ Live-Action Series No Longer Moving Forward at Amazon
The live-action "Silk: Spider Society" series is not moving forward at Amazon Prime Video after being originally ordered in 2022
It had been reported earlier in the year by The Ankler that Amazon had shutdown the writers’ room for “Silk,” with the writing staff released to pursue other work, though Kang remained attached to the project as showrunner. The official logline released at the time of the series order stated that the show would follow Cindy Moon, described as “a Korean-American woman bitten by the same spider that bit Peter Parker, as she escapes imprisonment and searches for her missing family on her way to becoming the superhero known as Silk.” Sony is prepping theatrical releases for a third “Venom” film as well as “Kraven the Hunter” starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the former of which is slated to debut in October while the latter will bow in December.
