‘Shrinking’ Season 3: Jason Segel Confirms Cobie Smulders’ Return, Teases Jeff Daniels’ Appearance as Jimmy’s Dad
At the Newport Beach TV Fest 2025, Jeason Segel confirmed his 'How I Met Your Mother' costar Cobie Smulders is set to return to 'Shrinking' in Season 3.
“I don’t want to give too much away, but she pops back around,” said Segel, who was presented with Variety ‘s Creative Impact in Television Award at the festival. Jimmy previously had a bit of a fling with Jessica Williams’ Gaby, but Segel is staying tight-lipped about whether or not any romantic sparks will fly between the now just-coworkers again. Segel confirmed that co-creator Brett Goldstein will be back on screen this season, along with a new cast member, Jeff Daniels.
