‘Scrubs’ Producer Eric Weinberg Trial On Multiple Rape Charges Finally Gets Green Light; Arraignment Set For June
Near two years after he was first arrested by the LAPD on multiple rape claims, the one-time high flying producer is finally going to trial
The decision to take Weinberg and the over two dozen claims against him to trial was made Tuesday after days of preliminary hearings in front of Judge Charlaine Olmedo at DTLA’s Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center. Denied bail and incarcerated in the downtown’s Twin Towers Correctional Facility since October 25, 2022, the one-time Californication EP will receive the equivalent of life in state prison if found guilty. Since Weinberg’s arrest in July 2022, the LAPD and LA County District Attorney’s office say they have received more than 70 tips and stories from women who claim they were raped after being coaxed to the TV vet’s Los Feliz home under various false pretenses.
