‘Scream’ Filmmakers Radio Silence and Project X Entertainment Join With MRC to Produce Horror Projects
"Scream" franchise filmmakers Radio Silence and Project X Entertainment have created a joint finance venture with Join with "Knives Out's" Studio MRC Entertainment to finance and produce a new wave of horror and thriller films.
Radio Silence Productions and Project X Entertainment, both behind the relaunch of the “Scream” franchise, are forming a joint financing pact with studio MRC to fund and produce horror and thriller features. The new pact further solidifies the relationship between Project X and Radio Silence, who not only relaunched the “Scream” franchise with a hit fifth entry, but also collaborated on features such as “Ready or Not” and the upcoming Universal vampire movie “Abigail,” directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. “To be able to formalize our alliance with Project X and work with a studio in MRC that champions original and fresh films couldn’t be more exciting to us as storytellers,” said Radio Silence members Chad Villella, Gillett and Bettinelli-Olpin in a joint statement.
