‘Scream 7’ Sets Release Date for February 2026
After production delays and cast shakeups, 'Scream 7' will finally open in theaters in Feb. 2026, Neve Campbell announced.
“ Scream 7,” the latest entry in the long-running horror franchise, will finally hit theaters on February 27, 2026, after enduring production delays, creative overhauls, and cast shakeups. Melissa Barrera, who starred in the previous two films, was fired from the sequel last year over comments she made on social media about the Israel-Hamas war. Jenna Ortega, who co-starred with Barrera, had to drop out of the film due to her shooting schedule for Netflix’s “Wednesday.” And Christopher Landon, the director of “Happy Death Day,” dropped out of the project in December of 2023, calling it “a dream job that turned into a nightmare.” He was replaced as director by Williamson.
