‘S.W.A.T’ Production Suspended Amid Hughes Fire


A week after production on LA-based series resumed after the fires, one of them, CBS' S.W.A.T., has put filming on pause again due to the Hughes fire.

'CBS The Hughes wildfire, which broke out around 10:30 AM Wednesday near Castaic Lake, is close to Santa Clarita where S.W.A.T., the police action series starring Shemar Moore, films. By 5 PM, the fire had burned 9,400 acres, prompting the evacuation of 31,000 people and the shutdown of a stretch of the 5 freeway for several hours. S.W.A.T., produced by Sony Pictures Television and CBS Studios, will remain dark tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 23.
