‘Robin Hood’: Australian Newcomer Jack Patten Lands Title Role In MGM+ Series

Newcomer Jack Patten has landed his first TV role, and it's the lead of an on-air TV series, MGM+'s Robin Hood.

Robin Hood, from Lionsgate TV and showrunner John Glenn, is described as a sweeping, romantic adventure, a modern take of the classic tale that brings historical authenticity, psychological depth, and a heightened focus on the relationship between Rob and Marian. Jack brings unique charisma and heart to this new iteration of the classic romantic adventure of a rogue outlaw who steals from the rich to care for the poor and finds his soul mate in the equally powerful Marian.” Patten, a former football prodigy who turned to acting after his budding professional sports career was ended by a knee injury, recently wrapped the Australian shoot of War Machine, in which he stars opposite Alan Ritchson, Jai Courtney and Dennis Quaid.
