The creator, executive producer and star of the HBO series told Us Weekly exclusively at the Los Angeles premiere of the fourth and final season that ending Gemstones is “bittersweet.” In season 4 of the HBO series, the Gemstone family’s “codependence is tested as they attempt to move forward without letting go of their storied past,” according to the official synopsis. Jennifer Nettles has found a family in her The Righteous Gemstones castmates — but she wasn’t expecting her 12-year-old son to be moved to tears when meeting costar John Goodman.
