In 2021, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat down for a bombshell tell-all interview with the US talk show host where they made allegations relating to race about the family. Sources told The Telegraph that Meghan sent a letter explaining that while she did not mean to accuse the individual involved of being a racist, she wanted to “raise concerns about unconscious bias" in the family. The King is understood to be the only person who made contact with the Duchess after the interview in which Oprah was told there were “concerns and conversations about how dark his [Archie’s] skin might be when he’s born”.
