'Ready or Not' team has an 'absolute f---ing banger' of a sequel — if it gets made

The team behind 'Ready or Not' say they have "an absolute f---ing banger of a sequel" and are really hoping it gets made.

Directors Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, with their producer partner Chad Villella — together known as filmmaking trio Radio Silence — have been working on a sequel to Ready or Not since 2019, they confirm to Entertainment Weekly in a new interview. Ready or Not starred Samara Weaving as Grace, who, on her wedding night, is hunted down by her new in-laws on their lavish estate as part of a twisted, ritualistic game of hide-and-seek. Starring Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Alisha Weir, Kathryn Newton, Angus Cloud, and Kevin Durand, the movie (in theaters this weekend) follows a group of criminals who are hired to kidnap a little girl with a love of ballet and hold her overnight in a safe house until the next morning when the ransom can be paid.
