‘Puppy Bowl’ Turns 20: What It Takes to Pull Off TV’s Cutest Match-Up
This year’s game used 600 pee pads, 200 toys, 30 water bowls, 10 bags of treats and 200 poop bags.
It takes a small village to pull off the match-up, with 120 crew members and 132 volunteers, including representatives from animal shelters. And all those pups require quite a bit of tender loving care during the multi-day shoot in Glen Falls, N.Y. At the heart of the action is ruff-eree Dan Schachner, who’s had the cutest gig in show business for the last 13 years.
