‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ To End With Season 5; Shameik Moore Joins As Pivotal Franchise Character
The fifth season of 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' will be its final; Shameik Moore joins as a series regular.
Tonight, Shameik Moore debuted as Branford ‘Breeze’ Frady, the nephew of street legends Snaps (Wendell Pierce) and Pop (Erika Woods). The couple introduces Breeze to Kanan (MeKai Curtis), and it wasn’t the warmest of welcomes; however, the meeting sparks a new partnership opportunity between the two young men, providing a lasting tie between the prequel and the flagship series. Known as a drug kingpin from Jamaica, Queens, Breeze employed a young Kanan Stark, as well as James St. Patrick and Tommy Egan, with the latter two serving as his corner boys, which took place around the same time Season 5 is set.
