All of these power moves are taking place following a March announcement from Starz CEO Jeff Hirsch of his intentions to contain content costs by developing more new shows versus sustaining series longer as they become more expensive. Power Book II: Ghost boasted a long list of in demand talent from the world of TV and movies, as well recording artists including Mary J. Blige, Clifford “Method Man” Smith Jr., Larenz Tate and Michael Ealy, to name but a few. The one thing that is for sure, is that via that confirmation with Tariq at the end of tonight’s episode that the show’s creative team and the network are committed to this franchise and the expansion of the universe.
