The sophomore season takes place in the rebooted DC Universe, which officially kicked off with Gunn’s animated series “Creature Commando” and continues with his summer tentpole “Superman.” Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner and Isabela Merced’s Hawkgirl cameo in the trailer and will appear in “Superman.” It stars Cena’s patriotic mercenary Christopher Smith, who debuted as Peacemaker in “The Suicide Squad,” as he starts working for the mysterious company A.R.G.U.S., the Advanced Research Group Uniting Super-Humans. leader Amanda Waller (Viola Davis); Freddie Stroma as the hapless crimefighter Vigilante; Steve Agee as A.R.G.U.S.
