‘Paddington in Peru’ Earns Biggest U.K. Opening for British Film Since ‘No Time to Die’
The third Paddington feature landed the biggest opening weekend of the year for a UK film
The third instalment in the beloved Paddington Bear franchise proved that the seven-year wait from the second didn’t matter, becoming the biggest opening of the three to date. With the Brown family in tow, adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and to the mountain peaks of Peru. Alongside Ben Whishaw voicing Paddington, the returning cast includes Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Imelda Staunton, Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin, while Olivia Colman, Emily Mortimer, Carla Tous and Antonio Banderas are new additions.
