'Our Flag Means Death' creator David Jenkins says the beloved pirate sitcom did not find a new home following its cancellation at Max.

The showrunner, who also created People of Earth, hinted that some of the Our Flag Means Death cast and crew may collaborate again on a new project in the future “We won’t say goodbye, because we’re not leaving,” he wrote. The queer pirate sitcom, which saw Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi lead a motley crew of gentle seafaring misfits, debuted on Max in 2022, garnering positive reviews and a devoted fan base.
