Plot details and the film’s exact title remained unknown until the first teaser dropped, with “One Battle After Another” expected to be somewhat inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s classic 1990 novel “Vineland.” While Anderson has yet to win an Academy Award, he has been nominated 11 times over the years, with “Licorice Pizza” receiving nods for best picture, best director and best original screenplay.
