‘Nurse Jackie’ Sequel Series Starring Edie Falco Moves To Amazon From Showtime

A Nurse Jackie sequel series, originally in development at Showtime, has moved to Prime Video with Edie Falco set to star, Deadline has confirmed.

Per the logline: “10 years after we left Jackie Peyton (Falco) clinging to life in the series finale, we find her back on her feet in spite of having lost her nursing license. The continuation of her story will find her facing new dilemmas in trying to be good in a world where being bad is often not only easier, but a lot more fun.” The series, which ran from 2009 to 2015, won five Primetime Emmy Awards out of 24 nominations, including wins for Falco and Merritt Wever.
