‘Nosferatu’ Leads as U.K., Ireland January Box Office Revenue Hits $116.6 Million, Up 10% From 2024
The U.K. and Ireland box office kicked off 2025 with a robust $116.6 million in January, marking a 10% increase from January 2024's $105.6 million.
Robert Eggers’ “ Nosferatu ” led the month’s releases, haunting its way to $15.6 million, establishing itself as the sixth-highest-grossing horror film of all time in the region. The musical sensation “Wicked” continued its enchanting run, conjuring an additional $6.1 million in January. February’s slate kicks off with the Imax release of “Becoming Led Zeppelin” and historical drama “September 5,” followed by DreamWorks Animation’s “Dog Man” and action-comedy “Love Hurts.” Mid-month brings tentpole releases including “Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy,” Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World,” and Valentine’s slasher “Heart Eyes.” The month closes with horror film “The Monkey,” anime finale “Attack On Titan: The Last Attack,” and Gia Coppola’s Pamela Anderson-starrer “The Last Showgirl.”
