‘Nosferatu’ Director Robert Eggers Signs on for ‘Labyrinth’ Sequel


"Nosferatu" director Robert Eggers is set to write and direct a sequel to the 1986 cult fantasy movie "Labyrinth" for TriStar Pictures.

“Nosferatu” director Robert Eggers is set to write and direct the sequel to Jim Henson’s the 1986 cult fantasy movie “ Labyrinth ” for TriStar Pictures, Variety has confirmed. Directed by Jim Henson, the original “Labyrinth” starred David Bowie as the Goblin King and Jennifer Connelly as a teenager who must save her baby brother, along with a slew of Henson puppets, in an imaginative musical fantasy that bombed at the box office. Eggers, whose “Nosferatu” scored four Oscar nominations, will also reteam with Focus Features for “Werwulf,” a werewolf horror set in the 13th century that’s being released in December 2026.
