‘Narcos,’ ‘Lupin’ Producer Gaumont Strikes Co-Production Pact With Brazil’s Globo (EXCLUSIVE)
Paris-based Gaumont has forged a co-production deal with Brazilian media powerhouse, Globo.
In an unprecedented move, Gaumont, the Paris-based TV & Film production house behind such global hits as “Narcos” and “Lupin,” has forged a co-production deal with Brazilian media powerhouse, Globo. In its voluminous library of over 1,500 titles are such classics as “The Untouchables,” “Barbarians,” “The Fifth Element,” “8½” and International Emmy nominees “Narcos,” “El Presidente” and “Lupin.” To be produced by Gaumont for Paramount Television International Studios(PTIS), “Futuro Desierto,” is touted as among the most notable series to emerge from Latin America, with stars José María Yazpik, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey, Andres Parra and Karla Souza leading the cast.
