A woman has been left seething after her mother-in-law ruined the baby name she had picked out for her daughter – by shortening it to a nickname she didn't like
This was the exact predicament faced by one mum-to-be, who shared her ordeal on Reddit after her mother-in-law single-handedly made her despise the chosen name for her daughter, by using an unwanted nickname. The expectant mother had her heart set on the name Caroline for her second child, but her enthusiasm quickly faded when her mother-in-law started calling the unborn baby "Carrie". In her Reddit post, the distressed mum explained: "Long story short, it has taken my husband and me forever to find a name we like for our second daughter (due in three weeks).
