'My £60 heated blanket costs pennies to run and is so warm I still haven't turned the heating on'

As the temperatures plunge, this heated blanket is proving to be the perfect way to keep warm and cosy on the sofa or in bed, without having to turn on the heating

The blanket is perfect for one person and costs pennies to run (Image: Faith Richardson) On the first use you do need to let it heat up for around an hour on setting nine before it reaches its optimum temperature. Although it lacks a timer, the Silentnight Luxury Super Cosy Heated Throw conveniently shuts off after two hours, although you can easily reset it to extend how long it stays warm. The blanket is soft and cosy and can be machine washed (Image: Faith Richardson)Whilst another added: "Nice and warm, I'd prefer other colours but good to have 3 year guarantee."
