'Mufasa' Trailer: Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter to Star as Mother and Daughter in 'Lion King' Prequel

The mother-daughter duo is teaming up again in Barry Jenkins' 'Lion King' prequel film.

As for the upcoming prequel's plot, Disney announced that Rafiki -- played again by John Kani -- will share the story of orphaned cub Mufasa with his granddaughter, Kiara. "The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destiny—their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a threatening and deadly foe," a press release reads. - DisneyJenkins' movie will "further explore the mythology of the iconic characters," reintroduced in Favreau's film -- where Mufasa was once again voiced by James Earl Jones and Chiwetel Ejiofor played Scar.
