‘Moana 2’ Surfs Past $800M Global; ‘Mufasa’ Nears $150M – International Box Office
Moana 2 has crossed $800 million at the worldwide box office
As we reported on Sunday, Dis passed $5B global box office for the year – the first time a studio has done so since the start of the pandemic. Meanwhile, although it came in way off of our pre-weekend projections, Mufasa: The Lion King ended up higher in the Sunday actuals with $125.6M global (including $90.2M from international). On Monday, Mufasa added another $22M overseas, lifting the worldwide cume to$147M ahead of holiday play.
