‘Moana 2’ Paddles to U.K., Ireland Box Office Crown as ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ Looms


Disney's 'Moana 2' stayed atop the U.K. and Ireland box office for the third consecutive weekend with $4.5 million.

Black Bear’s sixth placed “Conclave” gathered £554,970 in its third week for a £4 million total, while Warner Bros.’ newcomer “Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” debuted in seventh position with £483,583. Mubi’s “Queer” launched with £293,040 in eighth place, as Warner Bros.’ “Red One,” in ninth position, added £259,405 in its sixth frame for a £7.7 million total. The pre-holiday frame sees Netflix’s “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl” arriving Wednesday in select locations, featuring the voices of Ben Whitehead, Peter Kay, and Lauren Patel.
