'Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir,' the hit TV series from the Paris-set animation franchise, has been bought by CBBC in the U.K.

“Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir,” the global hit TV series from the blockbuster Paris-set animation franchise, has been bought by BBC Children’s and Education and will see its fifth season debut on the network later this week. The series follows the lives of two Parisian teenagers, Marinette and Adrien, who transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir to protect their city from mysterious villains while navigating the challenges of school, friendships, and secret identities. Sarah Muller, senior head of commissioning 7+ at BBC, says the “show’s exciting mix of action-packed plots, relatable characters, and themes of courage, teamwork, and responsibility make it a standout addition to CBBC’s lineup of family-friendly content.”
