‘Mindhunter’s Holt McCallany Teases “A Chance” David Fincher Will Revive Series As Film Trilogy

More than five years after the Netflix series ended its two-season run, 'Mindhunter' could get the feature-length trilogy treatment.

Holy McCallany, who starred as FBI special agent Bill Tench in the true crime series, said he recently spoke to creator David Fincher about the possibility of bringing the show back in another form. Based on the 1995 true-crime book, Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker, the series ran for two seasons from 2017 to 2019. McCallany and Jonathan Groff starred as the fictional Tench and Holden Ford, based on the FBI agents who pioneered the modern system of serial killer profiling.
