‘Men send me explicit messages on a daily basis - now I’m taking back control’
EXCLUSIVE: Sport presenter Emma Jones speaks to OK! about making her 'DM hotline' videos and why she hopes to encourage other women to call out inappropriate messages
Having worked on shows including MOTDx and BBC Football Focus and having amassed over 400,000 followers on Instagram, presenter Emma Jones is a familiar face in the world of sport. “I used to occasionally screenshot some of the explicit messages that I received and put them on an Instagram story and the reaction showed me that there was a place to talk about this,” she told OK!. Looking forward, Emma says that she’s noticed “a whole wave of women calling out this behaviour” and believes that there is power in numbers when it comes to addressing the issue and creating long-lasting change.
