‘Megalopolis’: Studiocanal Takes European TV & Streaming Rights

Studiocanal has taken 'Megalopolis' on for European TV and streaming, having already got several Francis Ford Coppola classics.

The deal runs for seven years and excludes Spain, Russia and pay one France. Megalopolis opened in theaters in the U.S. and globally in the past few weeks via distribution deals with Lionsgate and others. Starring Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito, Aubrey Plaza and Shia LaBeouf, the movie charts a conflict between Cesar (Driver), a genius artist who seeks to leap into a utopian, idealistic future, and his opposition, Mayor Franklyn Cicero (Esposite), who remains committed to a regressive status quo, perpetuating greed, special interests, and partisan warfare.
