‘Mean Girls’ Stays Atop U.K., Ireland Box Office, ‘All of Us Strangers’ Makes Strong Debut


Paramount's 'Mean Girls' continued its sway over the U.K. and Ireland box office with $1.8 million.

Viacom18’s Bollywood air force epic “ Fighter,” which topped the global box office with $25 million, scored £590,146 in the U.K. and Ireland in seventh place. The widest releases on the Friday are a pair of Universal releases that are opening across more than 300 locations each – animation “Migration,” with a voice cast of Kumail Nanjiani, Elizabeth Banks, Awkwafina, Keegan-Michael Key, David Mitchell, Carol Kane, Caspar Jennings, Tresi Gazal and Danny DeVito; and caper “Argyll,” with Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Henry Cavill, John Cena, Dua Lipa, Bryan Cranston, Sofia Boutella, with Ariana DeBose and Catherine O’Hara and Samuel L. Jackson. Among re-releases, Park Circus is bowing a 4K remastered version of Terrence Malick masterpiece “Days of Heaven” and “10 Things I Hate About You” on the occasion of its 25th anniversary.
