Celine Song, writer-director of 'Past Lives' and 'Materialists,' is developing an HBO drama series set in the world of e-sports.
Celine Song, the writer and director of the A24 films “Past Lives” and “Materialists,” is developing a drama series at HBO. After debuting at Sundance in 2023 and in theaters later that year, “Past Lives” went on to earn Academy Award nominations for best picture and best screenplay. “Materialists” is a romantic comedy starring Dakota Johnson as a professional matchmaker who finds herself in a love triangle with a wealthy financier (Pedro Pascal) and her ex-boyfriend (Chris Evans).
