‘Masters of the Universe’ Taps Alison Brie To Play Villain Evil-Lyn

'Masters of the Universe' has tapped Alison Brie for the vilain role of Evil-Lyn in the live-action Amazon MGM flick, starring Nicholas Galitzine.

Previously in development at Sony and Netflix, Masters of the Universe is being produced by Escape Artists and Mattel Films for release exclusively in theaters worldwide on June 5, 2026. A year later, the animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe premiered, becoming one of the first children’s programs to be syndicated on television during its two-season run. Several other film and television adaptations followed, and today the franchise continues to span such consumer touchpoints as toys and video games.
