Doug Jung is set to serve as showrunner on the “ Mass Effect ” TV series currently in development at Amazon MGM Studios, Variety has confirmed. Jung most recently served as showrunner on Jason Momoa’s upcoming historical drama “Chief of War,” which is launching in August on Apple TV+. It was previously reported in 2021 that Amazon was in negotiations to develop a “Mass Effect” TV series, but there have been no updates on the project until now.
